In case you missed the news over at TechCrunch, Yahoo Music has partnered with Gracenote to offer lyrics for all of their songs (which numbers in the hundreds of thousands). I’ve been using LyricsFly for a long time because of their ad-free interface, but this will no doubt have a larger offering. For more information see the YMusic Blog.

Ok, I’m gonna come right out and say I have no clue what they’re going for with Yahoo Underground which has recently launched with Gay Rodeo Curious. So it’s a show….with a singing reporter….that goes to a gay rodeo. Perhaps the idea is so crazy it just might work, but to say it seems a bit of a niche area is being overly generous. Yahoo/Daily Show/Broadway Mashup? Yahoo will take a chance with an offbeat singing reporter later this in the quarter with project called “Odd News Underground.” Odd indeed….
