If you see an influx of interesting videos on YouTube in the near future, you can thank Apple for them. Or, of course, if they’re awful, you can blame the company. But either way, a Music Ally article reports, “Google has announced that uploads from mobile phones to YouTube have increased by 400% since last Friday, when Apple’s new iPhone 3GS went on sale.” And that number’s liable to rise as more people become owners and more owners read the instruction manual.

One of the latest posts from Fake Steve Jobs is, as usual, spot on in terms of tone. As for the fact(s) of the matter, they are more or less as follows: “We’ve thrown $100 million into an iFund so people can build iApps to sell on iTunes and give us 30% of their iMoney. The coming onslaught of new applications will make iPhone the only smart phone that anyone in the entire world will ever want to use.”

BBC Should Embrace iTunes Within Seven Days

New reports suggest that the BBC will make many of its television shows available on iTunes by the end of next week. Who will be able to watch them is unknown – there may be some international restrictions – and the BBC has yet to confirm anything. Still, we’re willing to put our faith in Chris Williams and his “TV industry source.”

Cellswapper offers users the chance to get out of their cellphone contract and avoid the early termination fee by transferring service to interested customers. It’s a win-win (arguably a bigger win for the person who avoids the $175+ early termination fee, but who’s counting?) and it’s possible with the iPhone being limited to Cingular plans that many users will be looking to get out of their contracts when June rolls around.
